Support all Manufacturing Engineering functions for North America powertrain battery tray/frame, casting, components, engine, and transmission programs. Their primary role is to participate within an Engineering team to develop and launch processes that meet all objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost for both new model (NM), non-new model (NNM), and adaptation programs.
Main responsibilities include:
Indiana (IN) and Saltillo, Mexico (MX); Transmission Plants in Kokomo and Tipton, Indiana (IN); Casting Plants in Kokomo, Indiana (IN) and Etobicoke, Ontario (ON), Toledo, Ohio (OH) in conjunction with Global Center of Competency initiatives Drive standardization across plants in all regions
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in a related technical discipline or 3 years of experience in Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Ability to work and interact with all levels of the organization Strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skills Ability to translate technical data and analysis into an executive summary format for presentation in easily understandable formats Ability to embrace cross-functional teams responsible for developing, specifying, building, and launching powertrain manufacturing processes Knowledge of advanced problem-solving skills and ability to manage data analysis to identify root causes and attack them to closure Knowledge of cost studies and strategic planning Microsoft Office intermediate or advance knowledge
