Materials/Logistics Manager
Position Overview: Lead materials management operations to ensure optimal inventory levels, efficient procurement processes, and seamless material flow while supporting production schedules and cost optimization objectives across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Materials Planning & Management
Develop and execute materials management strategies Plan and coordinate material requirements for production Manage WIP inventory levels at and between different operations. Ensure material availability to support production schedules Lead material utilization for cost reduction initiatives Support weekly and daily scheduling processes Alignment between Materials team and Operations team to ensue schedule attainment Lead expediting materials to meet daily production Monitor and control trailer utilizationTeam Leadership
Manage performance evaluations and coaching Foster teamwork and continuous improvement Build materials management capabilities Support career development initiativesProcess Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements Lead flow and material-related continuous improvement projects Optimize materials flow and handling processes Implement best practices and standardization Drive automation and technology adoption Support lean manufacturing initiatives Reduce waste and improve efficiency
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or related field Professional certifications (APICS/ASCM, CPIM, CSCP) strongly preferredExperience:
3+ years management/supervisory experience Manufacturing environment experience ERP/MRP system experience Procurement and supplier management background Budget management experienceWho We Are
