We’re looking for a Manufacturing Line Leader to join our abattoir manufacturing site. Working closely within a small team, you’ll support and organise the team to ensure the line is running smoothly and maximising achievement to targets such as efficiency, yield, cost, waste and service level.
Helping colleagues to follow their health and safety and food safety training, you’ll make sure that quality, food safe products are produced for customers. Following good manufacturing practices is really important to us at Morrisons, and you’ll guide colleagues to make sure the working area is clean and tidy at all times. Sharing knowledge with colleagues and training new members of staff will be an important part of your role. Ideally you’ll also have a good product and specification knowledge across the whole range of products within the boning hall for pork and lamb.

You’ll be the kind of person who:
Enjoys working in a fast paced physical manufacturing environment, with chilled temperatures between 2 and 9 degrees Is able to comply with relevant business and site policies, such as health and safety and food safety standards Is flexible, adaptable and enjoys teamwork Is able to complete training to meet operational requirements Has an understanding of the slaughter and boning process for pork and lamb, with previous knife and butchery skills and willing to work in the presence of raw meatWe want to provide everyone with the opportunity to succeed in their role and career with us.
