Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Division in Americas.
You will be mainly accountable for:Update process documentation to ensure alignment with current production standards.Maintain and control production logbooks and records.Support the implementation of manufacturing changes on the production floor.Follow up on continuous improvement projects and initiatives.Assist in the preparation of efficiency and performance reports.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)You have knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, and you are comfortable using CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD to support production-related tasks.You are eager to learn about sheet metal manufacturing processes, production line optimization, and to take part in continuous improvement initiatives within the electrical equipment and switchboard assembly industry.You have academic experience, school projects, or previous internships related to manufacturing processes, process standardization, or production support.You are interested in developing your skills with Lean tools. You are passionate about problem-solving, enjoy working in cross-functional teams, and are motivated to contribute to the optimization of production processes and equipment efficiency on the shop floor.You are currently studying a degree in Materials, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong interest in manufacturing engineering and industrial operations.You are fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
