Manufacturing Group Accounting Commodities (PGM) Specialist

This position is responsible for the Precious Metals/Catalytic Converter consigned inventory PGM process and Steel Offload process.

 

This includes:

Leading the month-end accounting close activities. Developing and reviewing standard costs for precious metals inventory, including Engineering metal loadings Monitoring and assessing account reconciliations. Maintenance of the precious metal sub ledger at suppliers’ plants. Directing the catalytic converter annual physical inventory. Administer claims process for raw material sold under the Resale Steel program for US, Canada, and Mexico. Supporting SOX controls, including updating designs and performing tests, as required. Providing support and guidance to the purchasing community on all aspects of precious group metals inventory. Working with and directing Fiat Services personnel and keeping current desk top procedures. Resolving issues with PGM suppliers Special Reports, reviews, and analysis as required

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting; or related Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience Good working knowledge of accounting principles, methods and techniques Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with a bias for action and issue resolution Microsoft Office – Expertise in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or CPA Inventory accounting experience
