Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Specialist
PacStar Manufacturing employs a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to initiate, process, track, and report on work being performed within the Production Environment via online software. As an MES specialist, you will take a co-lead role in processing the introduction of products and updates to products within the MES system. This is performed with transactions within our ERP system and the representation of the assembly and test process within the MES system, to allow operators and technicians to perform all required steps. You will work closely with the production, planning/scheduling, document control, and management teams to ensure priorities are met for having products effectively processed in the MES and to meet the team’s implementation goals.

Your Challenge:
Learn the PacStar production and test processes to be effective with MES additions and updates
Maintain open and active communication with the Operations management team and the operators/technicians to provide the best support possible and coordinate MES support
Based on priorities, utilize the FactoryLogix MES software to establish products for implementation and maintain them with up-to-date steps to effectively allow operators to build and test the products; maximizing usage of the MES system
Develop skills with FactoryLogix MES to become a Super-User of this system for the site
Support Production assembly and QC/Test teams when questions arise regarding the proper and best usage of the MES software
Work with New Product Introduction (NPI) and Manufacturing Engineering teams to coordinate implementation
Resolve problems within the MES when corrections are required
Provide periodic training on the system to Operations team members
Document processes related to supporting the effective use of the MES software
Communicate with the Software development company for support as needed
Other duties as assigned
What you bring:
Experience with Manufacturing Execution System software packages – Aegis FactoryLogix preferred
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a user of software systems in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with MS Office
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Project Management skills
Cross-functional experience is a plus
Experience with SAP and Agile is a plus
AS9100 or equivalent quality system experience is a plus
