Job Summary
Support activities relating to the daily production and test environment of ZOLL Medical products. Includes daily manufacturing and test support, process and yield improvements, floor layout, process definition, and documentation. Competent in the use of general purpose and advanced laboratory equipment, methods, and practices is required. Generally, operates with limited supervision by manufacturing engineering personnel in the performance of the above. May or may not have direct or indirect reports.
Essential FunctionsDaily production support to address problems with production tooling, capital equipment and test fixtures. Troubleshoots manufacturing failures or conducts laboratory activities in support of root cause analysis and identification of corrective actions in conjunction with yield improvement activities. Assists with process development and improvement activities. Supports the implementation and validation of process and product documentation. Develops and implements various tooling and fixturing to meet the needs of the Manufacturing department. Supports and implements Preventive Maintenance and Calibration programs.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience Requires minimum of a high school degree with experience in electronics or a Vocational/Technical degree or equivalent. required and Associate's Degree in a technical discipline preferred Should have a minimum of 3 years of direct floor support experience in an electro mechanical, electronics assembly, and test environment. required and Includes troubleshooting activities and the operation of automated production equipment. required
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to troubleshoot down to the component level and rework PCB assemblies with surface mount and through-hole components. Ability to read and work with technical drawings and electrical schematics. Familiarity with operation in an ISO-9000 and Lean Manufacturing environment. Proficient in common PC based applications (Word, Excel, AutoCAD, etc.). Familiarity with FDA QSR regulations a plus.
