Role Summary:
The manufacturing engineering supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of manufacturing engineering, and facilitating efficient manufacturing operations across the plant. Participates in and maintains improvement projects to enhance safety, improves quality, reduce the cost of nonconformance, adopts lean principles and processes, and promotes customer satisfaction (internal and external).
Responsibilities Include:
Product process routings defining application of non-destructive examination, machining processes, assembly and heat treat requirements driven by unique product and customer requirements.
CNC program creation and support over sight for group using manual and computer assisted programming techniques. Esprit CAM supporting two axis lathes, HMC’s, and Mill/Turn machining centers.
Participate and direct project activities such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma activities to drive continuous improvement of operational performance.
Maintenance of standard estimates system for product quoting and costing purposes.
Capital expenditure project participation, machine tool purchases, facility layout and supporting projects.
Development and maintenance of method specifications supporting coating applications, crating and cleanliness.
Utilizes experience and knowledge to manage the timely execution of development initiatives and engineered production projects. Participation in product design reviews providing manufacturability input applicable to new product designs.
Requirements:
Technical degree with relevant experience.
Must have motivational skills and a high sense of urgency to plan and execute to support the manufacturing schedule.
Ability to work well under production pressure demands.
Interpersonal skills are critical for optimum communication with internal and external customers.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office package including spreadsheet, database management, and presentation software.
Strong machining background with knowledge of current machine tool technology is desired.
Aptitude for mechanical and analytical work, with the ability to analyze production programs and make sound recommendations.
Ability to produce professional engineering reports and presentations in keeping with company policies & objectives.

Previous supervisory experience leading and directing technical teams or management
Preferred Experience / Skills:
B.S.
