Job Description for Manufacturing Engineer Technician
JOB SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Process Technician will execute tasks in support of the Manufacturing Engineering group to provide support across various toolsets. This position is for a rotating 12hr day shift, on D2. Shift is based on business need and availability. The successful applicant must be able to interface effectively with fab operations, process maintenance, and semiconductor engineering professionals from client companies. Must exhibit self-discipline and be able to work under minimal supervision. The Manufacturability Process Technician will react to lots on hold and make proper disposition decisions to balance processing speed with quality. Must be accountable for individual results and for the impact of the results on the team. Accuracy, quality and productivity are all required.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Track and process lots on tools as needed for the business commitments
+ Interface with Workstation Operators (WSO's) to ensure proper procedures are followed
+ Maintaining tool health with respect to:
+ Meeting the qualification specifications of each tool
+ Recovery of tool faults
+ Basic troubleshooting of down tool events
+ Understand corrective actions necessary to recover from failures
+ Have working knowledge of SIVIEW (MES) to implement the building of simple routes for tool controls
+ Build WSPC charts for tool monitoring
+ Update operational procedures (MPS) for each toolset/processes and be able to communicate changes to operation team
+ Train and certify operators to process these tools after releasing of the tool to OPS
+ Develop a good working relationship with all the FSE that supports the tools
+ Perform Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements for Manufacturing Engineer Technician
+ A.S. degree in Materials Science, Physics, or equivalent Engineering and/or Science discipline OR 2+ equivalent experience which includes at least 2 years of semiconductor industry or research and development experience.
+ + Candidate must have a working knowledge in one or more process tools or modules required to
+ build advanced CMOS devices
+ Candidate must also demonstrate proficiency in computers and IT infrastructure including SiView applications, project planning, and forward thinking for contributing to process solutions for advanced integration flows
+ Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
+ Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
+ Must be willing to work either evening or day shifts and have ability to wear full clean room attire & stand for up to 12 hours at a time
This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
+ Working knowledge of Si View
+ Familiar with semiconductor metrology equipment such as Optical Microscopes and SEM
