Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineers to support our customer"s high visibility aircraft program in St. Louis. This role focuses on developing detailed planning and work instructions using Model-Based Definition (MBD) to ensure efficient, high-quality production. Our engineers will collaborate with production, quality, and design teams to refine assembly processes and resolve manufacturing challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Post-Mortem & Process Improvement: Participate in post-mortem workshops, updating planning based on Kaizen initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
* Build Plan Reviews: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all engineering requirements are captured in planning and production is fully prepared for Day 1 jig-load.
* FAI Reviews (Optional): Support First Article Inspection (FAI) planning updates, integrating quality inputs and finalizing documentation where applicable.
* Hands-On Production Support: During initial aircraft production, provide daily on-site assistance with minor corrections and direct collaboration with Production Operations (Prod Ops).
Required Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering (preferably aerospace/defense).
* Skilled in Model-Based Definition (MBD) and digital thread methodologies.
* Experience creating, updating, and validating manufacturing planning and ensuring accurate engineering requirements consumption.
* Familiarity with Teamcenter/IPDM, BDS MESci, and proficiency with NX desired.
* Strong interpersonal and project management skills to influence, present, and collaborate effectively.
* Due to the nature of the work US citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.
* Experience in aerospace manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
* Hands-on experience with Kaizen methodologies and workflow optimization.
