Job Overview:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong aerospace or precision manufacturing experience to provide centralized support for high-priority military production programs. This role is heavily focused on Material Review Board (MRB) processes and the creation of rework instructions to drive timely resolution of nonconforming hardware and aged Work-In-Progress (WIP).
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in MRB environments, with the ability to analyze technical issues, document corrective actions, and author rework instructions that align with quality standards and engineering intent.

Responsibilities:
* Lead or support Material Review Board (MRB) processes: submit, track, disposition, and document MRB cases, especially related to aged WIP
* Write clear, accurate, and technically sound rework instructions for nonconforming parts and assemblies
* Work closely with quality, engineering, and production teams to ensure dispositioned hardware is effectively routed for rework, repair, or scrap
* Conduct root cause and corrective action (RCCA) analysis, and help close quality loops
* Support shop floor engineering tasks, assist with rework planning, and contribute to overall production flow improvements
* Provide technical guidance on general rework processes, including use of lathes, milling machines, and grinders
* Track and document aged WIP and nonconformance activities to support reporting and escalation when needed

Core Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
* Direct experience with MRB processes and documentation of nonconformances
* Demonstrated ability to write rework instructions in coordination with quality and production teams
* Familiarity with rotating parts, tight-tolerance CNC machining, or high-stress aerospace components
* Proficiency with RCCA reporting and structured problem solving
* Experience using metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and optical comparators
* Strong communication, technical writing, and cross-functional collaboration skills
* U.S. Citizenship required due to contractual and export control requirements

Preferred Traits & Skills:
* Product Release Certification (PR) or eligibility to obtain
* Experience in repair/overhaul or sustainment environments is a plus
* Proactive and self-directed with strong attention to detail
* Comfortable with administrative documentation and configuration control
* Passion for quality, process discipline, and continuous improvement
