JOB SUMMARY
Jabil’s Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Communications Director is responsible for developing and implementing all aspects of the company’s communications program and strategies, including brand and market due diligence and documentation, message creation, presentation development, managing communications plans and processes, corporate communications, employee communications and the successful integration of acquired companies’ communications functions for all of Jabil’s mergers and acquisitions. This leader will work with Jabil teams and executives of target acquisitions to ensure effective and broad communications from deal announcement through the operational integration of the company and its employees. This role is also responsible for the integrated project management of the company’s communications programs, people and plans with Jabil’s internal teams. The Director M&A Communications must be able to multi-task and manage complex projects on a real-time basis, identify and resolve operational and integration challenges and act as the primary owner of message development with Jabil executives and business leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead cross-functional teams to build strategic plans, including core messages for the acquisition announcements and coordinate the packaging of all internal and external content
· Continuous development of M&A Communications playbook to include questionnaires, resources, tools and capture lessons learned / best practices
· Conduct brand and market due diligence on the target companies to ensure the capture of pre-signing material items that may impact a transaction and can contribute to the go forward strategy of integrating the target company
· Conduct brand due diligence on target companies and develop brand strategy in conjunctions with business and marketing teams
· Help develop and coordinate all deal-related employee communications, including executive communications, HR communications and on-boarding communications from across the company
· Develop and manage execution of communication integration and business plans
· Collaborate with Jabil’s Marketing & Sales Enablement Team to build initial go-to-market strategies and ongoing marketing plans, as needed
· Manage the mapping of target companies’ communications resources and align positions to Jabil, as needed
· Know and understand the corporate strategic direction; understand communications’ role in shaping Jabil’s ability to achieve strategic goals and sustain brand integrity
· Proactively develop and execute integrated communications programs to leverage internal and external messages
· Interface regularly with key executives and employees company-wide and forge relationships to formulate and manage communications strategies, message content, and message timing to support Jabil’s business objectives and company image
· Lead cross-functional, large-scale global communications projects, gain leadership buy-in, ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, including creation and execution of campaigns by internal staff members and external agencies
· Build in metrics as part of program planning to measure the effectiveness of programs and obtain data to improve programs for greater impact; Evaluate the organization’s communications program to measure its performance and ensure it is meeting/exceeding goals/objectives

· Provides superior communications counsel to managers and senior leaders and enable them to lead dialogue with their respective stakeholders. Coaches executives and helps them relate to their audience.
· Exhibits expertise in influencing business strategies and ensures alignment and impact of the strategic communications plan. Shapes function and broader organization to focus on outcome- based communications.
· Build in metrics as part of program planning to measure the effectiveness of programs and obtain data to improve programs for greater impact.
· Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
· Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
· Coach and mentor staff to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer. Provide ongoing coaching and counseling to team member based on feedback.
· Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results (i.e. operational metrics, results against project timelines, training documentation, attendance records, knowledge of operational roles and responsibilities, personal development goals).
· Solicit ongoing feedback from peers and team members on team’s contribution.
· Perform team member evaluations professionally and on time.
· Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of the organizational goals.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, business, marketing or related discipline.
· Minimum of 15-20 years of broad-reaching communications experience, with a minimum of 7-10 years in a leadership role developing objectives and strategies for communications programs, as well as implementing and managing communications campaigns, preferably in the high technology industry.
· Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
