Location: Savannah, GA | Pay Rate: $55/hour | Schedule: Full-Time, 1st Shift (5am - 1:30pm)
 
Summary:
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join a dynamic team at the forefront of aerospace innovation. In this role, you'll work in a high-impact production or post-production environment, solving complex manufacturing challenges, optimizing processes, and driving operational excellence. Your work will directly influence the quality, efficiency, and reliability of cutting-edge aerospace products.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Working under minimal supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer II will: Conduct technical analyses and studies to recommend improvements in production methods, tooling, layout, and material flow. Develop detailed work instructions that optimize efficiency, reduce defects, and ensure compliance with engineering requirements. Create Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOM) using SAP, Solumina, or Corridor, ensuring all components are captured in the production process. Draft rework instructions (DRDI/DMT) to support corrective action and quality improvement initiatives. Perform productibility assessments to align engineering designs with manufacturability, and participate in Design for Manufacturing reviews. Use statistical methods to forecast manufacturing requirements and analyze operational performance. Support procurement decisions by assisting in make-or-buy proposals and vendor evaluations. Lead or coordinate cross-functional project implementation with minimal supervision. Integrate Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles into new and existing processes. Support safety, sustainability, ergonomic, and business continuity initiatives across operations. Ensure compliance with quality standards and proactively recommend improvements. Audit peer work and maintain accurate documentation of daily and weekly outputs.  
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field), or equivalent education and experience. Minimum of 18 months of experience in manufacturing engineering, production planning, or a related technical field. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles (Green Belt certification or higher preferred). Proficiency in engineering systems such as SAP, Solumina (preferred), CATIA, Corridor, and CADAM. Solid understanding of engineering drawings, quality control, tooling, and safety practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Pay Details: $55.00 per hour
