Assists more senior engineers in implementing manufacturing techniques, processes, tools and machinery in order to optimize quality and output levels.

Job Requirements Assisting in optimization and standardization of stamping, modeling, assembly, and other processes within the manufacturing environment. Supporting senior engineers in ensuring processes are running at an optimum level for maximizing quality and output levels. Helping design and develop manufacturing process platforms and automation platforms Helping identify potential improvement areas and develop associated solutions to continually improve overall manufacturing system performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS 

Learn, apply and share knowledge of products, manufacturing processes and equipment. Lead or participate in projects to maximize productivity. Lead or participate in cost reduction projects, such as: scrap reduction, flow improvement, inventory reduction, cycle time reduction, etc.  Monitor manufacturing process activities, measure important process characteristics and analyze variation in order to detect and reduce waste.Analyze and provide information for decision Making related to the outcome of key indicators for the manufacturing process. Lead or participate in the introduction of new part numbers into an existing technology platform or process. Lead process and equipment validations (IQ, OQ, PQ). Sourcing and implementing new technologies that maximize the operation. E.g. Obsolescence, increased capacity, versatility, ergonomics, etc. Participate in the activities of multidisciplinary teams for the solution of problems related to product quality (NCMR’s, CARS, SCARS, CAPA's, etc.) All other functions with respect to the manufacturing process.

Experience:

Desirable 2 years of experience in medical industry process development, process/equipment validation or production line support.  Knowledge of FDA and/or ISO 13485 preferred. Knowledge of Solidworks, Minitab, Excel, Power BI is desirable. Preferred knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Quality, etc. English proficiency.

 

Education
