We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team at Laird Vietnam in Bac Ninh. In this role, you will be responsible for developing manufacturing processes and equipment for various products, including metal and thermal components, based on customer designs.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Develop manufacturing processes and equipment for products (metal, thermal, MCP, and others) based on customer designs.

Communicate with customers to consult about product requirements to ensure alignment with engineering capabilities.

Work collaboratively with appropriate departments/teams to develop product designs and tooling, and to source the best materials for new projects or designs.

Coordinate with other sites’ engineering and related cross-functional teams to enhance engineering capabilities such as manufacturing technology, product design, and product requirements.

Estimate production lead times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.

Create and modify manufacturing work instructions and process documents such as work instructions (WI), standard operating procedures (SOP), and engineering change notices (ECN).

Conduct trials for products to verify product design, process design, and equipment functionality.

Confirm production capabilities and implement improvements, troubleshooting solutions to ensure smooth mass production.

Promote continuous improvement of the production process through tooling and fixture design to increase quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.

Train and supervise production staff on new processes and methodologies.

Support sourcing the most efficient suppliers/vendors for purchasing materials or services.

Develop, modify, and enhance processes to ensure efficient production methods.

Interface with outside vendors to determine product specifications; coordinate the purchase of equipment, materials, and/or parts; and evaluate products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.

Scope and evaluate production automation equipment.

Lead and execute process improvements using tools such as Gage R&R, Cpk, and SPC.

Understand and implement Lean Manufacturing principles, Value Stream Mapping, and 5S techniques.

Comply with required regulatory agencies, including the FDA, CDA, and CFDA.

Education & Experience

Required:

1. Education Background: Graduated from university with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Degrees in Manufacturing, Industrial or Electrical Engineering will also be considered.

2. Required Work Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of work experience in an FDI manufacturing company.

Strong knowledge of metal stamping is required, along with expertise in mechanical design, machining, tooling and die equipment, and fabrication processes.

3. Proficiency in English Communication: Good oral and written communication skills in English.

Preferred:

1. Proficient in SolidWorks or other CAD applications. Experience with electronics/PCBA debugging, instrument test experiences are plus.

2. Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
