The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting our Parker Canada Division Made to Order (MTO) fluid power manufacturing and warehousing operations by observing machining, assembly and testing processes, designing tooling, workstations, fixtures guarding and automation solutions. You will be working with a team of associates on the shop floor to develop custom solutions to suit unique processes and operations supervisors to review production data and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Research new technology around automation, quality and safety
• Leverage Lean principles and tools to facilitate continuous improvement initiatives
• Work with external vendors, fabricators and contractors to complete work associated with ME projects
• Manage project actions, timeline and budget
• Build relationships across Parker departments and participate on cross-function project teams
• Develop expenditure proposals, detailing project ROI and business case justification for investments in new machinery and equipment
• Utilize 3D modeling software to model designs and create engineering drawings
Education/Certification Requirements:
• Completion of engineering degree, preference to mechatronic or mechanical graduates
• Working toward P.Eng. License
