What you will Impact:
Process Improvement and Efficiency
Understand, maintain, and continually improve manufacturing/assembly processes as related to safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery.
Develop new and maintain existing facility/manufacturing layouts.Lead assembly automation projects from concept to deployment.Establish the case for and procure capital equipment/tooling for new and existing manufacturing processes.
Collaboration and Support
Collaborate with operations team and be the process expert to coach/train employees on critical manufacturing processes.
Work with operations team to develop capacity and contingency plans for the division.
Support divisional and company programs such as, Employee Involvement program.
Work closely with all engineering disciplines to ensure new product manufacturing processes are executed with employee safety, customer quality, efficiency, and on time delivery as critical considerations.
Safety and Compliance
Collaborate with production personnel and management to effectively support safety related initiatives.
Understand & ensure compliance of government regulations as related to the business.
Take ownership of understanding, maintaining, and continually enhancing manufacturing/assembly processes in relation to safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery.
What you need to do to be successful in this role:
Mechanical and Technology Aptitude
Mechanical aptitude and curiosity to comprehend and address technical aspects of the role.
Leverage skills and knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Solidworks.
Problem Solving
Through project management, drive successful outcomes and optimize facility layouts.
Effectively prioritize projects to ensure timely and efficient completion.
Apply strong continuous improvement expertise to identify and implement process enhancements.
Address complex challenges and find effective solutions.
Communication, Collaboration and Teamwork
Successfully work independently and in a team setting.
Actively contribute both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Communicate and lead effective interaction with cross-functional teams such as production, maintenance, engineering, and materials.
Lead effectively in a team-based organization by demonstrating Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Adapt verbal and written communication by tailoring the communication style to your audience.
Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship now and in the future.
BS Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
3 – 5 years’ work experience
