Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design concepts, particularly in automated machinery and facility systems. This role requires hands-on experience with AutoCAD and a proven ability to design and implement HVAC systems and new process layouts within industrial or manufacturing environments.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and refine mechanical designs using AutoCAD for automated machinery and facility systems.Lead the design and integration of HVAC systems and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new processes and equipment layouts.Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for mechanical systems.Support installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, BOMs, and maintenance procedures.Troubleshoot and resolve design and operational issues in a timely manner.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.Strong knowledge of automated machinery and equipment design.Experience with facility layout planning and HVAC system design.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and project management abilities.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-5 years of experience in Mechanical Design using AutoCAD, including academic and professional experiences.1-5 years of experience with automated machinery and equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.2-5 years of experience working with process designs in a manufacturing environment.2-5 years of experience writing work instructions, documentation, and standard operating procedures.Experience with HVAC, sheet metal, and industrial product design is a huge plus.Familiarity with regulatory codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, OSHA).Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Work Environment

The work environment includes a mix of manufacturing floor and desk work, with time split 50%/50% between facility shop floor with automated equipment. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. This is an industrial environment requiring boots and pants, with PPE such as hard hats and glasses. The company currently has 115 employees and is expected to grow to 230 by mid-next year. The work can be physically demanding, especially in the summer heat, with potential for reduced hours during slower production in the winter months.

This is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $64000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
