The Manufacturing Engineer implements, integrates or improves on manufacturing systems to improve quality and reduce costs. This position will be liaison between design engineering and manufacturing departments. The estimated annual salary range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 annually. Translate designs from product engineering into manufacturing processes. Design fixtures, document SOP’s, create manufacturing BOM’s, and develop routing operations. +Process revisions/ECN’s within system. Provide recommendations for changes to designs for part manufacturability (ECR’s). Participate in revision, design, and post-mortem reviews. (30%) Solicit, facilitate and implement operational improvements (JDI’s) in consideration of waste elimination and cost-benefit analysis. (20%) Provide diagnostic/troubleshooting support for operations. Analyze root cause on manufacturing defects and implement preventative actions (20%) Engage in kaizen/A3 events. Drive lean initiatives with particular focus on facility layouts for 5S organization and flow improvements (10%) Perform incoming inspection of completed manufacturing and outsourced vendor components in absence of QC resource. (10%) Maintain and analyze router times in the MRP system including calculating and optimizing lot sizes, set-up and run times.
