We are seeking a dedicated manufacturing engineer to support an engineering services company operating in the aerospace, defense, and commercial industries. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing manufacturing procedures and processes. You will support customer engagement teams and ensure the execution of key milestones and deliverable timelines while interacting with project teams to meet aggressive schedules and deliver effective solutions.
ResponsibilitiesLead the development and innovation of company-branded solutions and offerings used in DoD and commercial industry sectors.Drive automation techniques and testing of new systems to optimize production capabilities.Perform and review design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA) and process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA) to assess design and manufacturing risks.Conduct and review analyses of part production processes, schedules, methods, and other data to understand future manufacturing requirements.Interface with manufacturing suppliers to lead APQP activities.Drive technical execution of projects focused on Industry 4.0, Digital Factory, Model Based Enterprise, Advanced Manufacturing, and Additive Manufacturing.Document and present technical data, analyses, and reports accurately and professionally.Plan and coordinate the work of junior engineering staff, providing training and mentoring as needed.Oversee project progress against planned schedules.Partner effectively with project/program management, technical teams, and customers to deliver according to agreed plans.Take ownership of issues as they arise and initiate corrective actions.Manage deliverables, lead small teams of engineers, and execute tasks with minimal oversight.Essential Skills4+ years of related engineering experience.Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.Experience with assembly and testing of machined, forged/cast, or fabricated aerospace parts.Experience with design for manufacturing, assembly, reliability, and cost.US Citizen - Clearance Eligible.Proficiency in manufacturing engineering, lean manufacturing, and six sigma methodologies.Strong communication and people skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications2+ years of team lead or engineering project manager experience.Experience with additive and electronics manufacturing processes.LEAN, Six Sigma, or other process certifications.Experience with Project Planning tools such as MS Project.Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite in Dayton, with flexible hours from 9am-5pm to accommodate family or personal commitments. The role requires 40-45 hours per week and involves 25-50% travel across the US from Monday to Wednesday/Thursday. All travel accommodations and expenses are covered by the company.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
Travel will be across US - all flights, cars, hotels, meals etc. covered by company. Engineer will receive company card to pay for it and per diem for travel. PTO/Holiday offered
