Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a dynamic engineering services company serving the aerospace, defense, and commercial industries. As a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Implementation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming manufacturing operations through advanced technology. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and optimizing MES to bridge the gap between the factory floor and enterprise-level systems such as ERP, SCADA, and PLCs. You will ensure seamless workflows, real-time visibility, and compliance with product quality and regulatory standards.
ResponsibilitiesTranslate production data into strategic insights to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput.Quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and support smooth production.Ensure robust data flow between shop floor systems and business systems to support traceability, production scheduling, and inventory tracking.Configure and deploy MES solutions tailored to manufacturing environments, integrating with ERP, SCADA, PLCs, and other OT/IT systems.Ensure MES implementations meet regulatory and internal quality standards.Collaborate with manufacturing and IT teams to optimize MES configurations, workflows, and system performance.Educate end users and create clear technical documentation for MES usage and support procedures.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Technology, or a related field.Proficient in SQL, scripting languages, and data analysis tools.Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and accountable.Comfortable managing multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations in a dynamic environment.Willingness to travel up to 50%, based on client needs.Familiarity with government and defense IT requirements, including relevant cybersecurity regulations.3-5 years of experience with MES systems (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, GE Proficy, AVEVA, etc.).Additional Skills & QualificationsCertifications such as PMP, Agile/Scrum, or ITIL.Experience in manufacturing engineering, lean manufacturing, communication, and people skills.Expertise in reverse engineering and Six Sigma methodologies.Work Environment
The position is 100% onsite in Dayton, with flexible working hours from 9am-5pm to accommodate family or personal commitments. The role requires 40-45 hours a week, with 25-50% travel across the US, Monday through Wednesday or Thursday. All travel accommodations and expenses are covered by the company.

This is a Permanent position based out of Dayton, Ohio.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
Travel will be across US - all flights, cars, hotels, meals etc. covered by company. Engineer will receive company card to pay for it and per diem for travel. PTO/Holiday offered
