Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining, and material handling. You will create efficient and productive layouts for machines within plant facilities, design sequences of operations, and specify procedures for fabricating tools and equipment to enhance product performance. The role involves adapting machine or equipment designs to factory and production conditions, incorporating inspection and test requirements into production plans, inspecting machinery performance to ensure efficiency, and initiating corrective actions for problems to maintain product quality. You will develop manufacturing processes that apply statistical process control techniques and provide guidance to engineering on design concepts and specification requirements to optimize equipment and manufacturing techniques while ensuring compliance with regulations.
ResponsibilitiesDesign manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining, and material handling.Create efficient and productive layouts for machines within plant facilities.Design sequences of operations and specify procedures for fabricating tools and equipment to enhance product performance.Adapt machine or equipment designs to factory and production conditions.Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans.Inspect machinery performance to ensure efficiency and initiate corrective actions for problems to maintain product quality.Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control techniques.Provide guidance to engineering on design concepts and specification requirements to optimize equipment and manufacturing techniques.Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques.Experience in manufacturing Cable and Harness and/or Circuit Card Assemblies according to specifications IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC-WHMA-A-620.Experience with MIL SPEC Cable and Harness and/or MIL SPEC CCA assembly.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of techniques in manufacturing Cable and Harness.Familiarity with Circuit Card Assemblies specifications IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC-WHMA-A-620.Work Environment
The position starts at 5 am with a 4-day schedule from Monday to Thursday, with potential overtime opportunities. The work environment involves working in a manufacturing setting that adheres to Lean Manufacturing principles and industry specifications.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $53.65 - $53.65/hr.
