Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where you'll contribute to the improvement of processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure adherence to manufacturing processes and compliance with ISO 9001 standards.Review and interpret military specifications to meet production requirements.Implement corrective actions for rejected parts to improve quality.Participate in special processes such as brazing, assembly, welding, chemfilm, and painting.Contribute to process improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing methodologies.Support continuous improvement efforts and root cause analysis.Develop and maintain compliance documentation.Engage in project management and production support activities.Essential SkillsExpertise in manufacturing engineering and production support.Proficiency in mechanical engineering and process improvement.Strong understanding of quality management, including ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.Experience with Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing practices.Ability to conduct quality inspections and tool management.Familiarity with Unigraphics NX software.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline is preferred.Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).U.S. Citizenship is required.Work Environment
This position is based on-site at our ITAR facility in Hampstead, MD, within a machine shop setting. The role involves working in two 90,000 sq. ft. parts manufacturing plants equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The work environment fosters a tight-knit community, emphasizing collaboration and long-term employee retention.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $57.69/hr.
