Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for overseeing production activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and playing a key role in planning, scheduling, and executing manufacturing processes. The engineer will work closely with production supervisors and support teams to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements that enhance productivity and quality. Responsibilities + Lead daily production operations, ensuring alignment with production goals and delivery timelines. + Set clear expectations and deadlines for production teams and supervisors. + Collaborate with manufacturing and production support leaders to review floor performance and drive accountability. + Facilitate the planning, scheduling, setup, and execution of manufacturing activities. + Identify and resolve production bottlenecks through data analysis and root cause investigation. + Implement lean manufacturing principles and process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. + Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, throughput, downtime, and labor utilization. + Lead initiatives focused on continuous improvement. + Recommend and implement new technologies, tools, and systems to improve operational effectiveness. Essential Skills + Fabrication and assembly process knowledge. + Experience in production planning and scheduling. + Proficiency with ERP systems and production planning tools. + Strong leadership and communication skills with 5+ years of experience. + Expertise in manufacturing engineering and continuous improvement. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. + Experience with composites and fiberglass fabrication. Work Environment The initial work hours are from 5 am to 3:30 pm, which may change to 7-4 or 8-5. The production team consists of 30 people, with 2 production supervisors. The role reports to the VP of Operations and has a dotted line to the VP of Engineering and the President. This position offers 2 weeks of PTO and 7 paid holidays, including 6 standard holidays and 2 at Christmas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.27/hr.
