Manufacturing Engineer
About the Role We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III – NPD/NPI to lead the development and deployment of manufacturing processes for new product development (NPD), new product introduction (NPI), and prototype parts. This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about innovation, process optimization, and delivering high-quality medical devices. Key Responsibilities + Lead technical development activities for prototypes and new products from concept through production. + Collaborate directly with customers on development activities, quoting, and project execution. + Design, develop, and validate manufacturing processes and tooling using 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks). + Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) initiatives and identify scalable process technologies. + Coordinate fabrication and implementation of process fixtures, tooling, and gauging. + Develop and approve device routers, manufacturing procedures, and bills of materials (BOMs). + Monitor and improve equipment, machines, and tools to ensure optimal performance. + Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or process issues affecting product quality or yield. + Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) and resolve non-conformances. + Analyze and map processes, assess efficiency, and lead complex improvement projects. + Mentor junior engineers and technicians. + Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, FDA QSR, and internal quality systems. Required Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field. + 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical devices. + Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks). + Strong understanding of DOE, SPC, FMEA, GDP, QSR, and GD&T. + Experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, Excel SPC). + Excellent communication, project management, and team collaboration skills. Preferred Skills + Expertise in NPD/NPI, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement. + Familiarity with laser technology, CNC programming, and design for manufacturing. + Experience working in regulated environments with ISO 13485 standards. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
