Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the design of new tooling, gauges, and fixtures to support new product releases and ensure quality control for mass production.

ResponsibilitiesDesign 3D models in CAD focusing on new product fixtures, gauges, and tooling for New Product Introductions (NPI).Construct and test fixtures, gauges, and tooling by building prototypes and testing their performance to ensure they meet the correct requirements.Assist with concept design, mechanical/manufacturing development, and product optimization strategies.Help lead in rolling out new manufacturing processes, validating manufacturability.Create work instructions and process control documents that will be used by production.Create Bill of Materials (BOMs) to accurately plan and budget.Collaborate regularly with cross-functional departments such as production, maintenance, and quality, as well as customers.Essential Skills2+ years of mechanical design experience.Skilled in the design and development of precision gauges, custom fixtures, and specialized tooling.Exposure to manufacturing capabilities including machining, press operations (metal forming), fabrication, tooling, welding, brazing, heat-treating, plastic injection, or composites.Demonstrated expertise in supporting new product introductions.Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD modeling using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and/or NX.Bachelor's or Associate's degree in an engineering-related discipline.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in metal forming and/or press operations within design.Aerospace industry experience supporting Big 3 OEMs of aircraft engines (GE, Rolls Royce, or Pratt and Whitney).Experience working with supporting departments such as welding, brazing, quality, and machining (Lathe).Experience in Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM).Work Environment

The role is split between an office and a manufacturing floor environment, with a 50/50 distribution. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, during the first shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
