Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will plan, direct, and coordinate the daily operations of manufacturing processes on the production floor. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations by utilizing your expertise in process improvement and engineering.

ResponsibilitiesWork with the ERP system to generate bills of materials, routings, work instructions, and other product-related documentation.Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.Collaborate with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.Engage with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.Design new fixtures and collaborate with the tool room to get them made.Implement and carry out Engineering Change Orders.Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design equipment and layout of equipment in the workspace for maximum efficiency.Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.Use a voltmeter and related test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuits.Understand and apply basic Lean Manufacturing principles.Support product quality by performing root cause analysis and corrective actions.Write manufacturing tests and quality audit procedures.Minimum Requirements2+ years in process/manufacturing engineering experienceExperience in efficiency improvements and root cause analysisProject leadership experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsProcess improvementProcess engineeringManufacturing engineeringLean manufacturingSix SigmaProcess development/improvementRoot cause analysisTroubleshootingBill of materials managementTooling and fixtures designAutomationPLC programmingWork Environment

This role involves spending approximately 70% of your time on the production floor and 30% in the office. The manufacturing environment is climate-controlled. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
