As a Manufacturing Automation Engineer at our Cedar Creek site, you’ll drive innovation, improve operational efficiency, and lead automation initiatives that improve quality, scalability, and efficiency across our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze manufacturing workflows through value stream mapping to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for automation.

Design and implement process improvements in collaboration with internal teams and external automation partners.

Develop clear user requirement specifications (URS), perform design reviews, and lead automation projects from concept to deployment.

Own and maintain equipment post-deployment, monitor performance using metrics like Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), and troubleshoot issues.

Design and prototype custom tooling and fixtures; apply rapid prototyping and 3D printing as needed.

Document processes, improvements, and technical requirements with transparency and precision.

Collaborate multi-functionally with production operators, technicians, engineers, and global Agilent teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Automation, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

4+ years of hands-on industrial automation experience.

Minimum 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or automation role.

Proficiency with technologies such as robotics, liquid handling, packaging automation, vision systems, and sensor integration.

Strong mechanical proficiency and ability to build, disassemble, and troubleshoot manufacturing systems.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.

Experience handling multiple projects and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $97,920.00 - $153,000.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
