Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team, focusing on product design, testing, and validation. This role requires expertise in designing new products and improving existing ones using SolidWorks 3D modeling, as well as developing and maintaining accurate BOMs and part/component drawings within the ERP system. The engineer will conduct product validation, testing, certifications, and collaborate with the Prototype Shop for sample production. Leading DFM/A reviews to ensure manufacturability is a key aspect of this position.
ResponsibilitiesDesign new products and improve existing ones using SolidWorks 3D modeling.Develop and maintain accurate BOMs and part/component drawings within the ERP system.Conduct product validation, testing, and certifications.Collaborate with the Prototype Shop for sample production.Lead DFM/A reviews to ensure manufacturability.Own process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend changes for productivity and cost savings.Perform root cause analysis, FMEA, and corrective action efforts.Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions.Design tooling and fixtures required for manufacturing processes.Work from product models to create efficient, safe, and cost-effective tooling.Collaborate with tooling specialists and shop floor teams to refine designs and ensure smooth implementation.Essential SkillsManufacturing engineeringProduct engineeringTooling and fixture designBachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical EngineeringProficiency in SolidWorks DesignUnderstanding of manufacturing processesExperience in BOM creationKnowledge of Lean manufacturingContinuous improvement methodologiesAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with ERP systemsCapability in conducting DFM/A reviewsAbility to lead process improvement initiativesWork Environment
The work environment blends office settings with hands-on shop floor activities. This role offers a dynamic space where you can apply continuous improvement methods alongside designing tooling and fixtures to manufacture high-quality products.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
