Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to evaluate production processes and recommend improvements. This role involves analyzing production data to provide management with insights, ensuring compliance with manufacturing equipment requirements, and optimizing production efficiency. Responsibilities + Evaluate and improve production processes. + Analyze production data and provide management reports. + Ensure manufacturing compliance with equipment requirements. + Review and calculate labor, material, and production costs. + Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements. + Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services. + Eliminate waste and apply innovative systems to improve workflows. + Optimize production programs for labor balance and stocking needs. + Provide flexible program offerings across multiple machines. + Ensure traceability and repeatability through programs and ERP communications. + Troubleshoot program challenges and reduce product inconsistencies. + Develop fixtures for program applications. + Manage fixture assets and instructions for efficient use. + Problem-solve and communicate effectively with the work team. + Contribute ideas for continuous improvement of workflow and processes. Essential Skills + Metal fabrication + Continuous improvement + Manufacturing engineering + Process improvement + Process engineering + Stainless steel + Sheet metal + Weldment + Lean manufacturing + Welding + Welding engineering + FEA analysis + 5+ years in a metal manufacturing environment with weldments and large assemblies + Experience with ERP systems, VISIO, AUTOCAD + Experience with manufacturing calculations including cycle times, takt times, standard work, VSM + Experience with equipment such as brakes, lasers, punches, cobots, robots, welders, sorters, and material handlers + Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing + Stainless steel & metal fabrication experience (MIG/TIG welding, cutting, bending, polishing) Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with trailer/vehicle systems and pressure vessels + Familiarity with standards, large assembly, fixture design, workflow, process flow, robotic welding, robotics, Weld + Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering + Process/manufacturing experience with sheet metal, weldments, and large assemblies Work Environment This role is based in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility. The environment is dynamic with a strong emphasis on growth, product/process improvements, and involvement with Government/Military contracts. The culture is diverse and bilingual, with a mix of quiet design teams and outgoing manufacturing teams who collaborate well across the office and shop floor. Dress code is casual, with the expectation of professionalism during meetings Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
