Ensure operational continuity, continuous improvement, and bring technical support for gear grinding area, meeting safety, quality, velocity and cost standards. **What will you do:** • Interact with internal and external suppliers to deliver quality products on time. • Design and optimize gear grinding processes. • Evaluate, validate and implement new technologies in this process. • Define equipment, tooling, torque and station layout requirements. • Establish and maintain necessary technical documentation (PFMEA, SFMEA, Flowchart, Visual aids, Sheet Standard Work, Reaction plans, etc.). • Participate in the implementation of new products and engineering changes. • Participating on LPA, CQMS, CAV audits. **Degree Requirement** • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, industrial or similar. • Fluent English **What skills the ideal candidate will have:** **Decision-Making and Critical Thinking** • Applies an assigned critical thinking technique in the decision-making and problem-solving process. • Recognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes concerns through in-depth analysis. • Assists in the evaluation of risks, benefits, and consideration of alternatives for new capital investments and process development/improvement. **Judgment and Decision-Making** • Seeks input from multiple sources to generate diverse ideas for decision-making and problem-solving. • Communicates decisions with confidence and applies them in the production area. • Coaches others to improve judgment and confidence in decision-making by developing their skills. **Lean Manufacturing** • Knowledge of basic tools to observe existing processes and identify waste. • Manages the adoption of lean manufacturing principles throughout the organization by work center or product process. • Participates in detailed planning to implement and monitor lean manufacturing and appropriate capacity planning. • Project organization and management **Manufacturing Processes** • Advanced knowledge of: o Gear processes (spur and helical gears) o Drawings interpretation and GD&T o Continuous improvement tools and troubleshooting o Cutting and grinding tools o Heat treatment process (basic) • Provides management reports on current and projected capacity requirements for new capital investments. • Documents important considerations in response to increased product demand and analyze their effect on production and required capacity **Manufacturing Equipment** • Intermediate-advanced knowledge of: o Gear grinding machines (teeth) o Faces and bore grinding machines o Deburring and washer machines (preferable) **Manufacturing Safety** : • Performs safety inspections to ensure compliance with high energy requirements. • SFMEA, visual aids. **Additional Information** : • The location for this position is Cienega de Flores. • This position will require travel (training or project) up to 5%.
