Job Description
We are seeking an outstanding Manufacturing Engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and related analysis specifically for flight-critical avionics systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production level designs.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for flight-critical avionics systems.Perform analysis related to mechanical designs.Integrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems.Create detailed work instructions and technical documentation.Participate in process improvement initiatives focusing on lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies.Support assembly and testing methods at component, subsystem, and system levels.Handle and track systems for continuous material flow to manufacturing lines.Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.Collaborate on both Development and Production programs.Essential SkillsMinimum of 4 years in manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience.1+ year experience with integrating, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems.1+ year experience with Computer Aided Design tools such as Solidworks or NX/Unigraphics.Strong organizational and analytical skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.Related experience from internships or college organizations.Technical writing experience, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.Experience with automated manufacturing processes and handling systems.Familiarity with QTP/ATP, functional testing, and environmental testing methods.Formal training or certification in Operational Excellence Systems (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma) is a plus.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Work Environment
The position is onsite in Redmond, where you will be part of a team building a satellite constellation.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66.70 - $66.70/hr.
