Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional Mechanical Engineer Drafter with outstanding technical and analytical skills, capable of efficiently executing tasks with precision. The role involves developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and conducting related analyses specifically for flight-critical avionics systems. Ideal candidates should possess a solid foundation in mechanical engineering suitable for both prototype and production-level designs.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for flight-critical avionics systems.Conduct thorough analyses of mechanical designs.Create detailed work instructions for manufacturing processes.Integrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems.Apply continuous improvement methodologies, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.Support development and production programs.Essential SkillsMinimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or equivalent.At least 1 year of experience with integrating, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems.Proficiency in Computer Aided Design tools, such as Solidworks or NX/Unigraphics.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.Technical writing experience, including creating work instructions and standard operating procedures.Experience with automated manufacturing processes and assembly and test methods.Knowledge of handling and tracking systems for continuous material flow.Familiarity with QTP/ATP, functional testing, and environmental testing.Formal training or certification in Operational Excellence Systems (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma) is a plus.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.Work Environment
This position requires onsite work in Redmond, where you will be part of an exciting initiative to build a satellite constellation.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66.70 - $66.70/hr.
