Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will collaborate closely with engineering and production support teams to evaluate and enhance manufacturing methods, product design, fabrication, tooling, assembly, and quality control. Your role will involve justifying and implementing capital projects to improve productivity, quality, and safety, as well as driving continuous improvement initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and improve manufacturing methods, product design, fabrication, tooling, assembly, and quality control.Implement capital projects to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.Drive continuous improvement, focusing on equipment troubleshooting and procurement of tooling/fixtures and facility supplies.Design, implement, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes, CNC programming, and equipment.Champion corrective action teams to identify root causes of production issues and implement sustainable solutions.Provide production guidance through hands-on floor support and development of work instructions.Develop and update drawings for tooling and fixtures.Assist in the development and sustainment of safety programs to ensure effective risk control and compliance.Utilize lean tools to drive initiatives focusing on product flow, visual management, 6S, TPM, SMED, or productivity improvement.Develop and execute key performance measures for evaluating equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance program effectiveness.Essential SkillsMinimum three years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in AutoCad and Solidworks with tooling/fixture design.Experience with problem-solving tools and root-cause analysis.Analytical thinking with attention to detail.Knowledge of PLCs is a plus.Understanding of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing tools.Ability to read and understand technical material, engineering drawings, and industry standards.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficiency in MS Office and related productivity tools.Strong project management skills.Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, or 8 years of related experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in aerospace is advantageous but not required.Preferred experience in job shop manufacturing in metals.Basic knowledge or understanding of PLCs for troubleshooting.Experience in fixture design, process improvement, and process engineering.Knowledge of ISO/AS9100/TS16949 is a plus.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
