Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support one our automotive clients in Dearborn, MI. The engineer in this position will be responsible for driving quality improvements and warranty reductions in the assembly plants.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Lead data driven and plant floor analysis of current model quality concerns and or process/manufacturing related issues
- Operate cross functionally with Plant Engineering, Product Development, Quality, and Manufacturing teams across the company
- Lead report outs to management
- Lead implementation of tools/technologies/error proofing to improve quality to resolve process/manufacturing issues
- Writing purchase orders
- Perform in plant trials and prove out engineering concerns
- Support PFMEA and control plan updates, audits, investigations, maintenance, change control, and initiatives ties to current model programs
- Support daily quality meetings, weekly regional meetings, plant VQRs, and warranty binning meetings
Compensation: $40-45/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience working within automotive manufacturing
- Experience with assembly tooling, processes, and facilities
- Experience with error proofing, vision or fastening technologies - Experience with Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, or CATIA
- Knowledge in FEDE, WERS, GSPAS/APT
- Experience in Electrical Distribution Systems, Exterior Ornamentation, Glass Cells, Water Testing, Chassis, Powertrain, and/or Tire and Wheel Assembly null
