What You will Do:
Develop, produce, and modify process operation and assembly sheets. (Solumina preferred)Knowledge of GD&T and can integrate within a production process. Keen understanding of B/P interpretation as it relates to specification requirementsPossesses a working knowledge of 3D modeling (NX preferred)Capable of designing and 3D printing fixturing for manufacturing applicationExperienced with basic manufacturing processes, methods, and techniquesAbility to mark-up requirements for fixtures, tools, and gagesDeveloped understanding of 5S & TPM methods for test rigs & equipmentSupport supplier questions about fixtures and part requirementsIdentify areas for improved product manufacturability, reduced product cost, or improved product reliabilityCommunicates technical subject matter proficiently, both written and verballyResponds effectively in high-paced environmentTroubleshooting (cause & effect) must be a strengthProficient in RCCA methodology and can own actions to drive down product non-conformance Can rationalize and implement inspection methods and techniquesSkilled in project management and follows up on tasks dailyCreate presentations based on process data and results to show opportunities for productivity improvements and cost savingsAbility to manage various project and process tasks related to product qualityCreate all shadow boarding for necessary toolingWork Experience
How You Will Get Here:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.Solid understanding of manufacturing operationsKnowledge of various tools, gages, and fixturesProficient in blueprint readingFamiliarity with Teamcenter and NX preferredProficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPointSelf-motivated to ensure accountability, disciplined to improve processes, passionate about engineering, and organized to track many work streamsExcellent verbal and written communicationOrganized with the ability to multi-task while driving actions to completionExcellent communication and teamwork skillsSolid computer skills, including Microsoft Office with emphasis on ExcelPay Range: $65,000 - $80,000
Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Windsor Locks, CT.
You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required
