The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing manufacturing processes to meet production requirements of quality and quantity at lowest possible cost. The Manufacturing Engineer works closely with Production, Quality Control, Purchasing, Engineering Services, Safety, and other departments to achieve these goals. This site specializes in electronics manufacturing. Therefore this role with require expertise in electrical engineering.
What will you do?
Responsible for new product introduction (NPI) including time studies, equipment selection, line balance data, tooling specifications, manpower requirements, and all aspects of process developmentDevelops methods of operation to increase efficiency and reduce costs by studying product designs, materials, machines, and work flowDesigns and develops fixtures, jigs, and tools to facilitate efficient assembly or processing of productsEnsure compliance with established standards, policies, and practices relating to quality, safety, ergonomics, etc.Establishes production schedules based on production requirements and resources availableWorks closely with Operations Management to resolve all issues related to throughput, quality, and plant operationsMaintain accurate records and reports of activities such as labor utilization, machine performance, production levels, defective rates, etc.Provide assistance in maintaining ISO certificationAssist with electrical applications such as troubleshooting electrical wiring and testing of motors and control devicesWork safely around moving parts, electrical installations, hot surfaces, and sharp objectsHow will you get here?
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplineExperience:
2-5 years of hands professional electrical or mechanical engineering experience preferably in manufacturing environmentAbility to read, interpret, and execute schematicsMust be able to lead techs and manufacturing personalStrong communication and training skillsMust have experience electrical concepts such as wiring layouts, electrical designAutoCAD or SolidWorksWhat can Jabil offer you?
