Your Role:
Under supervision, the Production Lab Tech - Mfg Histology performs laboratory activities in the manufacturing lab including slide manufacturing events and packaging events and assists in tasks required for block qualification; follows the manufacturing schedule to complete required tasks per standard operating procedures involving basic laboratory techniques, calculations, material measurements, operation of laboratory equipment and record keeping.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Manufacture and package products following SOPsUse local ERP systems to accurately document manufacturing processesStock area inventories Maintain lab cleanliness and comply with cGMP compliancePerform microtomy, IHC staining, and troubleshootMaintain records and keep spreadsheets updatedEscalate any non-conforming products to management, participate in the investigation processMeet productivity standards and strive to increase productivity without sacrificing quality and safetyLook for ways to improve and promote qualityDemonstrate accuracy and thoroughnessManage time and priorities to meet deadlinesTroubleshoot equipment problemsWork on various projects to improve efficiency or complianceFollow regulatory and standard requirements as applicable to the site, i.e., MDSAP, ISO 13485, IVDR, and compliance with the site Quality Manual
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other Life Science discipline and 1+ years of production experience
OR
High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of production experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent computer skills, including MS OfficeKnowledge of FDA QSRs and ISO 13485 or other related industry standardsExperience with SAP or other ERP system Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to create clear, concise, written reports and accurately complete batch recordsKnowledge of SAP NEXT
