Job Title: Manufacturing Associate
Job Description

As a Manufacturing Associate, you will perform manual assembly of small drug implants, such as those used for ocular purposes. This role involves working with small components under a microscope, loading implants into needles, pouching, packaging, and extruding and cutting implant materials. All tasks are completed manually without automation. You will be responsible for ensuring all pharmaceutical products meet quality standards and are ready for distribution, in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, and company procedures.

ResponsibilitiesPerform manual assembly of small drug implants.Conduct microscope work to inspect and handle small components.Load implants into needles, and handle pouching and packaging.Extrude and cut implant materials.Follow batch records and identify any deviations.Operate and monitor assembly line equipment for drug product packaging, including blister packs, vials, and syringes.Perform visual inspections of components and finished products to identify defects or inconsistencies.Accurately complete batch records, logbooks, and other required documentation.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including cleaning equipment and tools.Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.Assist with line setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting of minor equipment issues.Collaborate with quality assurance and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.Report deviations or non-conformances to supervisors immediately.Essential Skills1+ year experience in a regulated environment.Pharmaceutical or medical device experience.Familiarity with GMP, SOPs, and FDA regulations.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.Good fine motor skills for assembly of small drug dosage units.Additional Skills & Qualifications1–2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, medical device).Work Environment

This position is based in a cleanroom environment where the ability to stand for long periods is required. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with flexibility for start times if needed. You will gain valuable experience working in an R&D pharmaceutical environment and may have the opportunity to work with scientists and engineers. Exposure to other products within veterinary medicine and women's health is possible if the project extends beyond three months.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
