Responsibilities The Opportunity The primary goal of the Manual Tester is to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications through meticulous testing and validation. This role exists to identify and report defects, ensuring that the final product meets the specified requirements and user expectations. The Manual Tester plays a crucial role in preventing software issues that could impact user experience and business operations. Without this role, undetected bugs and errors could lead to significant operational disruptions and customer dissatisfaction. Your Impact As Manual Tester your functions would consist: Execute Manual Test Cases: Perform thorough manual testing of software applications to ensure quality and functionality. Identify and Report Defects: Detect, document, and report software defects using bug tracking tools. Participate in Test Planning: Assist in the creation and estimation of test plans and strategies. Collaborate with Development Team: Work closely with developers to understand requirements and provide feedback on software quality. Document Test Results: Create detailed test reports and documentation for reference and analysis. Participate in Daily Stand-Up Meetings:Attend and contribute to daily meetings to discuss progress, issues, and blockers. Ensure Compliance with Quality Standards: Adhere to established quality assurance standards and best practices. Qualifications Who Are We Looking For? Experience License or Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, Familiarity with manual testing techniques and test case creation. Ability to identify, document, and track bugs using tools like ADO, Understanding of different types of testing (e.g., SIT, UAT , regression), Team player with a proactive attitude, Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously identify defects and inconsistencies in software applications. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to analyze issues and determine root causes. Communication Skills: Effective communication to collaborate with development teams and articulate findings clearly. Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of software development processes and familiarity with testing tools (e.g., worksoft, SeeTest). Team Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team, contributing to collective goals and supporting team members. Time Management: Efficiently manage time to meet deadlines and ensure thorough testing within project timelines. Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn and stay updated with the latest testing methodologies and tools. Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and provide constructive feedback for software improvements. Basic Programming Knowledge: Familiarity with basic scripting or programming languages to assist in test automation. Good communication and interpersonal skills to manage internal and external stakeholders.
