This position is to support the Custom Border Patrol TVPS program that handles all the travelers coming into the country via Airports, Seaports, Pedestrian, and Vehicle lanes. The candidate will be responsible for inspection and testing to identify bugs, breaks or failures in the product. Uses test plans, cases, reports, and defect logs to execute test cases, report defects, and ensure that the product functions as designed. Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables. Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area. Typically responsible for coaching and reviewing the work of lower level technical staff. Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution. Develops solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge. Communicates with internal and client project team members. Works to influence team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.
**This position REQUIRES the candidate to be in Ashburn, VA, 2 twice a week**
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 8 years of prior relevant experience; or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degreeOver 10 years of experience coding in C++, Java or other Window’s type languages.U.S. CitizenMust be able to maintain and obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to startExperience in Troubleshooting problemsGood Customer interaction and communicationGood communication skills including documentation and ticket resolutionOn rare occasions, be willing to support the contract in evening, weekend, and holidays is ever neededWilling to travel to the DC area once or twice a week (on-site visits to Ashburn and occasional visit to Dulles airport to support pilot projects)Can work with a team or independentlyExperience in Windows, Software Center, and looking into logs to determine cause of issues.Preferred Qualifications:
