The Test Engineer (manual) Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the highest quality of our software products through comprehensive manual testing. You will be responsible for designing test cases, executing test plans, identifying defects, and working closely with development teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:
Test Planning & Design
Analyze product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create comprehensive test plans.Design detailed test cases covering functional, usability, compatibility, and regression testing scenarios.Develop and maintain test documentation including test scripts, procedures, and checklists.Identify test data requirements and prepare appropriate datasets for testing scenarios.Test Execution & Quality Control
Execute manual test cases.Work with software and machine learning engineers to develop automated test cases.Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.Execute regression testing to ensure new changes don't break existing functionalityValidate user interface elements, workflows, and business logic.Defect Management & Reporting
Document, track, and manage defects using bug tracking systems.Provide clear, reproducible steps and detailed information for identified issues.Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve defects.Verify bug fixes and perform retesting as needed.Generate comprehensive test reports and quality metrics.Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with product managers, developers, and UX designers throughout the development lifecycle.Participate in requirements review meetings and provide testing perspectives.Communicate testing progress, risks, and quality concerns to stakeholders.
We’re looking for a teammate with:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.Minimum of 2+ years in software Quality Assurance.Knowledge of web applications, databases, and web APIs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $85,000 – $105,000 USD per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package, eligibility requirements for benefits will be controlled by applicable Qlik plan documents and policies.
