This is a full-time opportunity in a clean, safety-conscious shop with modern equipment and a supportive team environment. You’ll work on custom and production parts with tight tolerances, supporting ongoing machining and fabrication operations. This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals who take pride in craftsmanship and mechanical precision. **Key Responsibilities** + Operate **manual mills** (e.g., Bridgeport-style) and **manual lathes** (e.g., Monarch or similar) to machine metal components to exact specifications. + Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job orders. + Perform setups and adjustments independently. + Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. + Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and quality standards. + Perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshoot as needed. **Qualifications** + 3+ years of experience in manual machining (mill and lathe required). + Ability to work from detailed mechanical drawings and blueprints. + Skilled in holding tight tolerances and producing high-quality parts. + Familiar with common shop tools and safety procedures. + Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. **Preferred Experience** + Familiarity with both short-run and custom parts. + Comfortable in a team-oriented production environment. + Ability to assist with basic mechanical assembly or fabrication tasks is a plus.
