Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Manual Machinists for projects located in and around Lansdowne, MD.  This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of up to $25/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Manual Machinist eager to demonstrate your knowledge and skills while learning new ones, this is your chance to advance in your career!

 

Job Scope:

Operate a Variety of Manual Machine Tools, including Lathes, Mills, Jig Borers, and Precision GrindersPerform Machining Operations on Various Materials, Maintaining Tight Dimensional TolerancesUse a Wide Range of Precision Measuring Instruments to Verify Dimensions and Ensure Part AccuracySelect Appropriate Cutting Tools and Machining Methods to Maximize Efficiency and Product QualitySet Up Machines and Workpieces according to Technical Drawings and SpecificationsFabricate Complex Parts With Interrelated Dimensions, Compound Angles, Irregular Surfaces, and Exacting TolerancesLayout Parts and Perform Setups using both Hand and Machine Tools

Requirements:

Proven Experience Operating Manual Machine Tools in a Shop or Production EnvironmentStrong Ability to Read and Interpret Technical Drawings and BlueprintsSkilled in the use of Precision Measuring Instruments (ie: Calipers, Micrometers, gauges)Understanding of Cutting Tools Selection, Speeds, and Feeds for Various MaterialsHigh Attention to Detail and Commitment to Producing Quality WorkAbility to Work Independently and Manage Multiple Machining Tasks EfficientlyReliable Transportation and Attendance
