Job Description

Onin Staffing in Creedmoor is currently recruiting for a manual Machinist for a client in Youngsville that refurbishes electric motors. Machinists are responsible for repairing and manufacturing parts using many types of conventional machining tools such as gauges, calipers, micrometers, while using machinery and equipment such as lathes, mills, and cutting tools.

Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pmWill transition to 3pm-11:30pm after 90 days$19-$25/hour based on experienceAffordable health insurance you can actually use, including $5 copays, $5 prescriptions, and free Telehealth services

As a manual Machinist you will be responsible for:

Measuring and recording mechanical fitsPerforming machine repairsManufacturing and repairing parts per customer order and instructionUsing precision measuring instrumentsOperating lathesCreating new parts for motors or repairing existing parts

Work Experience

For the Machinist role, you should have the ability to:

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsRead and interpret drawings and/or blueprintsAdd, subtract, multiply, divide, and compute rate, ratio or percentRead precise measuring tools such as calipers and micrometersOperate lathes, grinders, and other equipment

Previous fabrication or machine shop experience is a huge plus!
