The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Manual Lathe Machinist to join our precision machining team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual lathes to fabricate, modify, or repair metal parts to exact specifications. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of machining principles.
Your Challenge:
Set up and operate manual lathes to perform turning, facing, threading, drilling, and boring operations; performing precision machining operations to tolerances within 0.001”
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
Measure and inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools
Maintain clean and organized work area
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Your Expertise:
3+ years of experience operating manual lathes
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using precision measurement tools
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification a plus
Must be a Sole US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
