Fortive is seeking a collaborative, curious and highly organized accounting professional who will play a critical role in supporting Fortive’s intercompany accounting and financial reporting efforts. Working under the guidance of the Director of Consolidations and Reporting, you will be responsible for overseeing Fortive’s intercompany accounting and reporting across its 10 operating companies and corporate entities. You will work closely with tax, finance, treasury, and operating companies to understand complex transactions and assist with journal entry preparation. Although former experience is a plus, if you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach you! This is a unique role that facilitates learning and interaction with a diverse group of operating companies, individuals, and a range of business transactions, treasury and tax-related initiatives, and intercompany loans.
Candidate Profile and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation, review, and posting of intercompany entries for month end close. Work in partnership with OpCos, corporate accounting, tax and treasury teams, among others, to provide support and guidance for intercompany transactions. Liaise with tax, finance, treasury, and operating companies to understand business needs, identify intercompany entries needed, and track progress of entries through various levels of review. Serve as the key contact for operating companies in the areas of intercompany transactions and reporting policies. Perform the first level of review for intercompany entries posted by the operating companies. Maintain an organized listing of pending and completed intercompany transactions and articulate status of entries to team. Monitor pending intercompany requests and collaborate with team members to ensure action items are completed timely. Maintain the intercompany database by updating the legal entity listing, facilitating user access requests, updating intercompany policies and standard reporting templates, designing user-interface enhancements, and communicating changes to users. Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in the continuous improvement of Fortive’s finance processes, utilizing the Fortive Business System (FBS).

To be a good fit for this opportunity, you will also have/be:
5+ years of audit and/or accounting industry experience Operate in a way that never compromises ethics and integrity Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and support practical solutions Detail-oriented with the objective of consistently delivering high quality work product, while maintaining an understanding of the bigger picture A forward-thinking mindset with an ability to make connections, carry forward learnings, and identify or anticipate potential challenges before they arise Able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a high-energy, dynamic environment A hands-on and can-do approach with a desire to continue learning and developing Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance CPA preferred

Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 81,765.00 - 151,915.00
