Managing Director
Description We are looking for an experienced Executive Director to lead organizational strategy, oversee operations, and drive member engagement for our organization based in Richmond, Virginia. This leadership role involves collaborating with the Board of Directors, managing financial and operational functions, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional member services. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with expertise in non profit, financial management, and strategic partnerships. Responsibilities: • Act as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies. • Lead the execution of the organization’s mission and strategic plan under the guidance of the Board. • Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and transparency across the organization. • Provide support to chapters, addressing their needs and fostering growth within the network. • Oversee the delivery of exceptional member services and manage the membership database. • Supervise daily operations, including service delivery and vendor management, to ensure efficiency. • Collaborate with the Treasurer and finance committee to manage budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. • Cultivate relationships with sponsors and donors to enhance financial sustainability. • Develop and execute strategies for major conferences and events. • Oversee communication strategies, ensuring consistency across websites, newsletters, and social media platforms. Requirements • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within a nonprofit or membership-based organization. • Strong knowledge of financial management, including budgeting and compliance. • Expertise in CRM systems, ERP solutions, and cloud-based technologies. • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships and sponsorships. • Exceptional communication skills, including experience with external representation and branding. • Proficiency in overseeing large-scale events and conferences. • Strong decision-making abilities and a track record of driving organizational growth. • Familiarity with accounting functions and capital management processes.
