Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director to lead our MHPI shared services office in Pune, India. The Managing Director will oversee a team of approximately 50 matrixed professionals, providing dedicated support to our Business Unit (BU) operating divisions. This role requires a strong onsite leadership presence to ensure the effective management and coordination of shared services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and direction to the MHPI shared services office in Pune, India.Lead the development of a long-range plan (LRP) charting the strategic growth and development plans for the organization.Oversee the daily operations and performance of the shared services team, ensuring high-quality service delivery to BU operating divisions.Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development among team members.Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of shared services.Liaise with US headquarters to align shared services activities with overall business objectives and goals.Manage and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive continuous improvement.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Represent the MHPI shared services office in India at internal and external meetings, building strong relationships with stakeholders.Oversee HR leadership and ensure stakeholder engagement and satisfaction to help MHPI grow and scale to support the business.Provide recruitment support, owning the full cycle recruitment and placement of shared service resources.Navigate the complexities of a matrixed environment, where resources report into BU divisions, ensuring effective coordination and communication.Liaise with other Masco organizations in India, driving collaboration, best-practice sharing, and leverage opportunities.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a shared services or similar environment.Strong understanding of shared service models and matrixed team structures.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.Experience in liaising with international teams and stakeholders.Bilingual proficiency with strong English as a requirement.Additional Information:
