Northrop Grumman Mission Systems' Global Supply Chain organization is excited to offer an opportunity to join our team as a Manager Supply Chain Programs 3, to lead the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization at the Rolling Meadows, IL.
The selected individual will be the primary GSC interface for a Business Unit as part of the Navigation, Targeting, and Survivability Division and will lead all local GSC personnel in the delivery of the highest levels of program strategy and execution. The successful candidate will work as a crucial member of the site leadership team and will report directly to the GSC Director for the Rolling Meadows, IL site.

The strategy, planning, and execution of all material and services content for a collection of programsActing as the main focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for the entire supply chainCoordinating cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers.Developing the material strategy and leading the activities for GSC in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP), and will ensure that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategiesLeading supply chain program execution and is accountable for proposal activities, resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution.Briefing the PMO and executive management on the status and issues affecting program cost and schedule performance.Travel up to approximately 20% to support supplier management, strategy, and execution of program requirementsSuccessful collaboration and influence with peers, other functions, and all levels of managementDemonstrates leadership success and ability to influence direct reportsSelf-motivated and proactive, organized, and detail-orientedDemonstrates success/problem-solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering, or program managementAbility to successfully manage complex supplier specifications, drawings, SOW’s and supplier issue resolutionStrong business acumen and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment that consists of leading-edge technology suppliers and a non-traditional supply base.The manager of supply chain programs is responsible for activities and knowledge within multiple disciplines across the supply chain processes: Supply Chain-Plan, Supply Chain-Source, Supply Chain-Make, Supply Chain-Deliver, as well as Supply Chain-Operations. This manager will exhibit end-to-end supply chain competency and manage supply chain functions (Planning, Sourcing, Small Business/Disadvantaged Programs, Supplier Quality, Warehouse & Transportation, Analytics, Compliance, Systems, etc.). The successful candidate will provide direction to the team to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures and be able to influence direct reports, peers, other functions, and all levels of management. In addition, the successful candidate will possess highly effective interpersonal skills to communicate messages throughout the team and summarize content for executive-level briefings.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 8 years minimum (or Master’s degree and 6 years) of related experience (e.g., cost account management, supplier financial reporting/forecasting, and supplier/program/product scheduling or closely related)5+ years of team lead and or management of peopleHighly effective interpersonal skills, ability to summarize issues for executive-level briefings, commitment to fostering an engaging environment for others, and excellent communication skillsWorking knowledge of Federal and Defense contracting requirements, including ITAR and FAR/DFARWorking knowledge of MRP conceptsExperience working with large data sets Experience in dynamic program and supplier environmentsExperience developing Supplier Management Strategy to support program needs, cost, and scheduleAbility to obtain government security clearanceUS Citizenship

Salary Range: $162,300.00 - $243,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
